The root cause of Nigeria's gender problem is governed by 3-Power Structures.
Tradition, Government and Religion.
These are the power structures we have in the country that shape our value system.
The capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events.
Tradition & Religion is used to determine our value system.
A coherent set of values adopted and/or evolved by a person, organization, or society as a standard to guide its behavior in preferences in all situations.
Our value system influences the kind of government and politics we get.
These 3 power structures - all dominated by men.
Religion guarantees male leadership. Husbands are the Head, Wives are to be the submissive to Husbands.
Tradition guarantees the male lineage's ascension to leadership and primarily practices Primogeniture.
Leading to government disproportionately being dominated by men.
The Family is the microcosm of this system.
Think of it as the 3 power structures existing as a triangle with the family in the center.
The premise of this system is that mere genital conscription, in the anatomy of a penis dictates, a potential leader has been born.
Male leadership is guaranteed.
This sets the tone for systematic injustices against women.
